MyTravellution bad experience- be carefull

During March I attended the presentation and signed up. The presentation was filled with pie in the sky and misleading. When I found out after doing a test quotation that they did not offer anything less that any normal travel agent or if you book directly yourself, I cancelled within 5 days. I have been trying to get my money back since March 2020. All I get from Faranaz is the run-around.

I have now laid a complaint with the consumer ombud. So we will see what happens next.

I'm out of pocket R14000, so my next step is the small claims court as well.

Good day,

Due to Covid19 all company processes are delayed and this is normal for all businesses especially ones in the travel and tourism industry. We are dealing with your concerns.

We appreciate your patience.

Kind Regards,

JR

My cancellation was sent through to you in March 2020. You conveniently mislaid the documentation. I will post the full mail correspondence here for people to see how you conduct your business. I have been patient enough GIVE ME MY REFUND.

Stop making excuses. Everyone has been back at work since June, either working from home or from the office. You guys were doing presentations from July. Faranaz has been answering my mails with the same story excuses. I have been patient but 7 months is a long time. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY.

So yesterday I get a mail from one Hannelie Jacobs stating that I must be patient with the refund because they are trying to manage their cash flow. They will only pay the refund back after 60 working days. That's another 3 months I have to wait. I had to sign a form stating that I will cease all comments because they have agreed to refund me. My little caveat is, I will cease all comments once I have received my refund. My next little endeavor is to check if they are still at the Centurion Hotel on Saturdays and then to stage a one person protest at the gate. Let see what happens then.

So I finally got my refund with the intervention of the Consumer Ombud ( Consumer Goods And Services Ombud | CGSO www.cgso.org.za ) after 7 months.
As per the agreement I will make not further comments on this issue.

To all those who are still fighting, strength and perseverance will prevail. Good Luck.

Dear John
As communicated to you many times before, our company was closed by the Government lock down for most of 2020 and the travel industry was on the longest lock down of all industries in the world and  of course South Africa
Kind Regards
