GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK - NOW!

I signed up with these people on the evening of 8th November. After reading the detailed terms and conditions the next morning, I realized that the promises made by the sales person, and even answers to specific questions I asked, we not true as per the terms and conditions e.g. were there any ongoing payments once the initial membership was paid.

I informed MyTraveloution via a hand delivered signed letter and phone call on Monday 11th November that I was cancelling the contract. They requested all documentation I received at the presentation be returned to them, which I immediately couriered to them and they received on Thursday 14th November.

Up until today, 17 December, I have made multiple phone calls to them asking for a timeline of when I will receive my deposit back. Only to be told they are following their "auditable process" and cannot give me a timeline and that "there is no dispute over my refund".

After being promised on 6 December, by a senior consultant, that they would call me last week with the timeline, which never happened, I phoned again today (they close tomorrow and only reopen on 6 Jan 2020).

Today I was told that I will receive the Cancellation Form to complete on 8 January 2020 (coincidence - it is exactly 2 months after I signed???? I think not), so why couldn't they have told me this before??? Once I have completed the form, with details I already sent them on 11th and 14th November, the form will go back to accounts, then to the board, and I will get my refund 60 business days later!!!!!! Again, their 'auditable process' has clearly defined timelines which I was not previously given despite repeated phone and e-mail requests.

What gets me is the following: - The refusal to give me a refund timeline upfront, when clearly they do have one and continuously hiding behind the excuse of following an "auditable process and there is no dispute over my refund' - EVERY engagement I have had with anyone at the company has been initiated by me, not once has anyone followed through and phoned me after promising to do so - By the time I get my money back, IF I get it back, it will be a minimum of 5 to 6 months after I cancelled. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND CLEARLY THE REASON THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU THE REFUND TIMELINE UPFRONT. - MyTraveloution obviously retains your money as long as possible to get the interest on it. - I find the ethics of this company highly questionable

READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN DETAIL BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

Reviewer Update
Update with extract from Consumer Protection Act which they are clearly violating:

Your right to cancel direct marketing contracts within the cooling-off period
  • Suppliers are required to include a ‘cooling-off period’ in direct marketing transactions – cooling-off periods generally span five (5) business days.
  • Consumers have the right to cancel agreements within the cooling-off period, without providing reasons or incurring penalties for doing so.
  • Suppliers are required to return payments received from consumers, within 15 business days of receiving the cancellation notice.
