Blind sided by a 2 year contract!!!!

After telling us that we can cancel anytime with no penalties (only penalty would be loosing the money we have already paid, which is fine) BUT wanting to cancel our contract due to financial restraints they now tell us we are in a 2 year contract. Which will cost us over R60 000. This is just unacceptable. I feel completely ****med and blinded... We would never have signed up knowing we were in a contract for 2 years? We wanted to try out the company and felt fine signing up knowing we could cancel at any point (only losing the money we had already paid). We havnt even used the company for a holiday because of covid. DON'T SIGN UP.
