STAY AWAY FROM MySure

I bought a bakkie at AutoInvest Paarl and they also sold me an extended warranty from MySure on the vehicle as well which I paid in full. When I bought the bakkie the mileage on the car was just over 56 000 kilometers, the according to the service book the car last service was at 54 000 kilometers.

The car was suppose to be services at 60 000 kilometers, so the service at 54 000 and I don't need to service the car again at 60 000 k/m as it was already serviced. This is what the dealership sales person who sold me both the plan and the car said. He just said I must keep the car serviced and on time.

According to the service plan the car need service every 15 000 kilometers. So the next service was at 75 000 kilometers, I bought a service plan from MySure and my car was serviced at 75 000 k/m according to the specification.

The car broke down around 88 000 k/m and I contacted MySure they dispatched a towing truck and it was taken in for repairs. A diagnosis was done and a quote for repair was sent to MySure. Then the following happened..

1. MySure took the quote they were given by the repairing company which was in possession of the car, they sent it to the dealership that sold me the car.

2. The dealership (AutoInvest-Paarl) that sold me the car, sent that quote to a company which is NOT R.M.I approved to give them a cheaper quote without having a car at their workshop.

3. They were given a quote which was cheaper by the unregistered company and they forwarded that quote to MySure.

4. MySure then sends their independent investigators to this unapproved workshop to go investigate the damage on the car.

5. They go to this unregistered workshop and could not find the car there because they has always been at the workshop of my preferred workshop which quoted on the car.

6. The investigators never got the car at this unregistered workshop.

7. I enquired from my preferred workshop what is the hold-up because now it's been weeks and I'm not getting update. They said they are waiting on MySure because they sent them a quote and the car is already stripped.

8. When I phoned MySure to enquire they **** and said they were sent they investigators and the car is not yet stripped they are waiting on this company to strip the car.

9. I then confronted MySure with my inside information that I got and what exactly is happening and why they are lying.

10. Then the story changed to..

11. The car was serviced late by 6000 km because it was suppose to been serviced at 69 000 km instead of 75 000 km since it's initial serviced when I bought the plan was 54 000 km.

12. Because of that they will only pay 50% of the total quote.

Now, what kind of business ethics is this? When I bought the plan from them they never told me anything about early service of 6000 km, not them not even the dealership. When I serviced the car at 75 000 they never said the car was late for service.

I need the hello Peter community to SEE MySure for who they are, the are ****** who look for REASONS NOT TO PAY their clients.

I have escalated the matter to my lawyers.

Hi Phumzile,

We ae sorry you feel we disappointed you. Services have to be done as per manufacturers specifications, 15 000 km OR 12 months - whichever comes first. You have exceeded these specifications and we still managed to allow 50% of the benefit to assist.

Kind regards.
