How do they still exist?

Hi,

With internet costs in South Africa being as costly as it is, one has to find low-cost internet solutions that provide simi**** services provided by the large players in the industry.

When I initially heard of Hitecsure (Myiweb) I smiled as at the time I was using Afrihost - who's only problem is the lack of large data packages and they are quite expensive (this pertiains only for their mobile data).

Thus, I paid the installation fee (R1500) and got 75 Gigs of Data for little over R700 at what was promised to be a 8mbps line Unshaped. The very first week in, I had to get a technician out because the internet speed experienced was closer to 1mbps. This got fixed, and I was pleased until a third week in, when the very same happened. The amount of problems experienced within my first month led me to almost know all Hitecsure's Technical team members by name. Absolutely appaling. . Yes , they did come out, but this was achieved by waiting on a line for ATLEAST 30mins at a time. And dont for a second think that you will get ahold of anyone after 5 in the afternoon (when you get to come home and experience the problem) or on weekends.

To whomever reads this, you can try this out for yourselves, call their line and wait. "you are number 1 in the queue" will be repeated" which makes the wait even worse knowing that there is absolutely no-one on the other side of the line. Worst is, that this is when your calling accounts. Technical support, does not exist, if I hadnt personally gotten a technicians number eventually, I do not believe I could have solved a single problem.

More often than not, they apologised for the congestion and said they would be upgrading. Well a few months of torture and putting up with it , with the hope that I could contribute to a growing organisation such as this, has left me utterly bewildered at the shear non-care attitude from their management and employees.

The final straw was 4 days ago. When I - after 30 mins got through to Accounts, and cancelled my contract (Month-to-Month). I was requested to send an email explaining why I would be cancelling. And thus send a well mannered email explaining the difficulty in working with internet speeds of 0.28mbss/0.26mbps (Yes, really), seperate from the fact that I had been shaped. Myself as a gamer, particularly paid for an Unshaped line to allow for optimal gaming. however, I could count the number of days on my hand that I experienced an unshaped, non-laggy internet experience.

HiTecsure, is the worst example of an ISP I have ever come across. Its one thing paying lots of money for internet you do receive, but it feels ever more expensive when you pay cheaper prices and not get anything to show for it. At this time of writing, I have not yet received feedback from the cancellation - Apparently awaiting a Manager to decide what to do next. So il wait here patiently.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone on earth - Stay away and spare yourself the Heartache.

Yours Sincerely

Dissapointed.
