Wrong information given to me

Mweb sales consultant called me on the 27 August 2024 at 08:35 selling me a contract. Knowing what I want I had written down all the questions I wanted to ask about the contract and my questions were answered to my satisfaction, I guess sales do that; they tell you what you want to hear yet they know it is false. They gave me wrong info about the cancellation process. Now that I am cancelling even though I gave notice, they are charging me a penalty fee, which I was never told about. Firstly that consultant said the debit order date will be the 20th, to my surprise they debited on the 1st for a service they haven't started providing and I let that slide. NOW THIS???
