WORST COMPANY EVER! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! REVOLTING

I have never! Before mweb was "taken" over by Webafrica their customer service was outstanding, I never encountered an issue with their customer service. They were always attentive, kind and went above and beyond their call of duty. Since WEBAFRICA took over Mweb, the level of customer service is NON EXISTENT. There have been public complaints across all platforms about Webafrica. They simply do not care! As I type this, I have been on hold to "Customer care" for 61 minutes! And counting, I am currently number SEVEN in the line. IT IS BEYOND DISGUSTING that such a massive company cannot have more people to handle their call centres. I will also add that their SOCIAL MEDIA TEAMS ARE ABYSMAL. No matter how many messages you send, they seem to just toggle along and not care much. I have had issues with my email accounts on and off for weeks and informed them, over and over, with screen shots of error messages I have been ignored. They do not seem to care about their customers or their customer service. Their non challant' attitude is evident by their lack of communication! No wonder they took themselves off Twitter. I am sure with all the faults and bad customer service they thought best to extricate themselves from that barrage of complaints. Besides that, with all the complaints I have made on Hello Peter, I have yet to get a response from either Mweb or Webafrica.

Hello Lynn.

Profiel ref# ***7.

We hear how deeply frustrating this has been, especially after previously experiencing a high level of service and now facing long hold times, limited responses across channels, and ongoing email issues that haven’t been resolved. Spending over an hour on hold while still waiting in the queue is not acceptable, and we understand how this impacts your confidence in the service. We want to take ownership of this and ensure your concerns, particularly around your email account issues, are properly investigated and resolved. Please send us a private message with your registered email address and some details regarding the support you need, so we can securely access your account and assist you directly. What we’ll do next
  •  Review your email service issues and prior interactions
  •  Escalate to the relevant technical teams for resolution
  •  Address your feedback on supporting accessibility internally
Your experience matters, and we’re committed to working through this with you and restoring the level of service you expect.

Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

Hi Lynn, we can truly understand how stressful this is, especially after 35 years of using the same email address and now suddenly facing sending errors and missing emails. When something this important stops working, it impacts everything, and we appreciate how urgent this feels for you, particularly with travel coming up. Based on what you’ve described, the issue points more toward a mailbox access or synchronisation problem rather than a full service outage. Let’s try a few focused steps to help restore normal functionality: Please try the following:
  •  Sign out of webmail completely, then sign back in and test again
  •  Open webmail in an incognito/private browser window to rule out cache-related issues
  •  Check whether the missing emails appear in folders such as Spam, Trash, Archive, or any created filters/rules
  •  Try sending a test email to yourself from a different email account to see if delivery works both ways
If sending still fails, it may help to remove and re-add your email account settings if you are using Outlook or a mobile mail app, as incorrect or outdated SMTP settings can cause exactly this type of error. We also want to reassure you that your mailbox data is not lost based on the symptoms described, and issues like missing visibility are often related to filtering, indexing, or session errors that can usually be corrected once the access path is stabilised. Let us know what happens after these steps, and we’ll guide you from there until everything is working normally again. Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
