WHAT AM I PAYING FOR
So I've taken the time to do some ADSL research to start my new year off with a better, stronger WiFi connection. Mweb has some great prices on their 10 & 20 meg lines, Telkom too. But hey, I'm an Mweb client and decided to compare my existing 4meg line with what they currently have. I'm being billed R359 monthly, for a 4meg line with uncapped data and they're selling this as R199 on their site... their 20 meg line is R499. When asking Mweb what I'm paying for, they said R199 for the 4meg line and R259 for the Telkom backbone... but wait, am i not already paying Telkom for this backbone with every monthly invoice that they send me with my phone bill. Yep... looking at my Telkom bill, I pay for my phone line and I pay for my ADSL line... so can someone please explain why and what I am paying for with Mweb??? I'm waiting....
To my fellow South Africans, check your Mweb invoices - they're overcharging you probably!

You have a, 4MB Uncapped data only account, with us and not the ADSL line. That means you are paying Telkom for the ADSL line and voice line.
