Unfortunate attitude to cancelations

It is unfortunate when an ISP becomes a stickler for the wrong reasons and holds you hostage for an extra month. I called M-Web 15 Nov 2015 to arrange cancellation by end Dec 2015. It was almost impossible to reach the cancelations department, so they called me back the following day on the 16th of November. The lady requested I was to send an e-mail with a signed letter on a letterhead and a copy of my ID indicating I wanted to cancel. She gave me the complex email address of: [Email Removed] but it seems I heard [Email Removed] The same evening I sent the applicable cancellation to the [URL Removed] version of the address. It should be noted that M-Web DOES control [Email Removed] and that none of my e-mails bounced. Anyway, after having no response, and re-sening that e-mail 5 more times, I called and confirmed the address with the general call centre. They indicated it seemed correct. After leaving a message for Cancelations to call back, I was advised it MUST be to [URL Removed] On the 18th Dec, Melissa G***** confirmed she listed to the original call, and as they had said [URL Removed] I was to pay till end Jan 2016. Generally a warning for others - Mweb make it VERY hard to cancel.
