Unauthorised line activation and refusal to process cancellation - ***

I submitted a formal cancellation request for my fibre service (***) due to poor service. Despite this cancellation, Mweb proceeded to reactivate/hold my line on the Openserve network without my consent. When attempting to call support to resolve this and have the port released for my migration to Afrihost, my calls are ignored. I require Mweb to immediately cancel all active orders on my Openserve B-number (BH***), release the port, and confirm in writing that no further billing will occur.

We understand how frustrating it is to have requested a cancellation and still experience issues with your line release. We’ve logged this with our Cancellations Team to investigate the active orders, assist with the port release, and provide you with an update on the cancellation and billing.Kind regards,

Thank you for the response.

Please note that an investigation should not delay this simple administrative task. I require immediate execution of the following two actions today:

Immediate Port/Line Release: Instruct your Cancellations Team to immediately clear/cancel the unauthorized active order on Openserve's portal for service number B*** so my migration to Afrihost can finalize without further delay.

Full Refund: Process an immediate full refund of my upfront payment charged for a service I formally cancelled under reference MWB***4.

Please provide written confirmation once the port release has been submitted on the Openserve portal, along with proof of my refund processing.

Thank you for the update. Please ensure this is finalized today before the close of business, as the delay is unnecessarily holding up my active migration to Afrihost. I await confirmation of the port release on B*** and my full refund.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

The business day is almost over and Mweb is still stalling on a simple administrative task. Your failure to clear this unauthorized order on Openserve's portal is actively holding my internet service hostage and blocking my migration to Afrihost.

I demand that your Cancellations Team execute the port release on service number B*** IMMEDIATELY before the close of business today.

Stop sending generic "under review" stalling templates. Provide written confirmation of the line release on Openserve and proof of my full refund processing TODAY. If this is not resolved by 17:00, I will escalate this matter directly to ICASA and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman.

Hi Wilhelm,We hear you, and we understand why you’re demanding a clear outcome when B*** is preventing Afrihost from taking over your service.Your request for the Openserve port release and confirmation of the refund has been escalated to our Cancellations Team for urgent attention. We’ve specifically highlighted that the active order is blocking your migration and that you require confirmation once the release and refund have been processed. We acknowledge that another generic update is not what you’re looking for, and we’ll assist further once the team has actioned the matter.Kind regards,

A new business day has started and Mweb has still failed to execute the port release for service B*** on Openserve's portal. Because this migration block and unauthorized billing remained unresolved (***), formal regulatory complaints have now been officially lodged with both ICASA and the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman (CGSO).

Formal escalation notices have also been dispatched directly to Mweb Escalations. I will update the regulatory authorities once the line is released and my refund is processed.
