TOTALLY FRUSTRATED with TELKOM AND MWEB

Hi, i have been with mweb for almost 5 years. and only recently been having issues. I have an ADSL line. I had the router tested before the lock down as we kept having connectivity issues.. When the lock down started both my mum and I were working from home. My internet connection was so slow and constantly disconnecting that my office had to supply me with a 3G card. Eventually i thought that maybe because i have a 2MB line that is the issue and it's time to move to a 4MB at least which depended on my budget. I chose to move to a 4MB line around June - July. However over the last 2 months i had issues with my connection constantly disconnecting at odd times for 5 to 30 mins. I would constantly call mweb for assistance the very first time they logged a fault for a Telkom Technician who called my land line and said if the line is clear there is no fault, without running tests. I was told that the router is old and slightly outdated i should have the router tested. My parents took the router to Telkom before the lock down they said the router was fine. so i constantly call mweb to reset my line. Having a 4MB line and only get 2MB or under 1MB. Is not cool at all especially still working from home. eventually about a month a go i had a telkom tech come and say to me nope there is a fault with the actual line they need to repair or replace it. i said okay. a day or 2 later he said no the line has been repaired its all sorted. i was sceptical but said okay. the next day i lost connection for about 45mins. i called mweb the next morning and complained. i was told they would log another fault for telkom. later that day i get a call from telkom stating that they would move me to a different profile. i should test it for 15mins and see. i said okay. so the following realizing i am still having issues i called mweb yet again the telkom tech comes out and say no the alarm system which we have had for 10years longer than i have been with mweb is the issue. i said okay i would call the alarm company, the next day was friday. i had a connection until that afternoon thereafter i got disconnected the entire weekend i did not have a connection. i called mweb on saturday and i will not lie some of the techs there have been really helpful at the call center. so a lady helped me and she asked me how long has the alarm been installed and how long have i been with mweb and when i told her that my alarm was installed over 10 years ago. she said that is not the issue she tested the line and saw on her side i had no connection at l she logs a call with another telkom technician and this past monday before 12 i am all of a sudden back online. the guy calls me an hour later and says you logged a fault. so what did he do that i had a connection. this is frustrating me. and i thought about moving to LTE but Telkom is too expensive through MWEB and MTN through mweb i must pay R2600 for the damn LTE Router.

And i forgot to mention i am not sure if it was the technical manager that called me twice from mweb saying that its not my line and i am keeping logging faults i either should get the router replaced or tested. what's the point of replacing the router if at some point ADSL is going to become redundant. I think he forgets that it's peoples money that pays his salary . I hate to be harsh but it's true.

As a former Tech i think that Telkom shouldn't close the job card until atleast 3 days to ensure that the customer is happy and that all is in order. And MWEB should atleast do a courtesy call to ensure that thee client is happy as well.
