This is now the 6th time I have to log a call regarding my Fibre cables that has been snapped off by a truck. Each time I tell them to lift the cables higher, but Vumatel just fix and leave it the same hight. Within two or three days I need to log a call
For the 6th time in two months sitting without internet

22 Apr 2026, 15:56Hello Allistor,
We understand how frustrating it is to deal with the same fibre break repeatedly, especially after raising it multiple times and not seeing a lasting solution.
We can see that one of our technical support agents connected with you via chat about 10 minutes ago, and your query has been logged under ***. Our faults team is now handling this and will escalate the maintenance issue to Vumatel, specifically addressing the cable height concern to help prevent this from recurring.
You will receive SMS updates directly as progress is made.
We are monitoring this closely and will continue to support you until a more permanent resolution is in place.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

22 Apr 2026, 16:10Thanks so much for your reply, but it still doesn't sort out my issue with MWEB and Vumatel. All I get is sweet talk from both of you, but I am still sitting with a huge problem.
1: I have to work tomorrow and I need my internet, so I will once again have to buy data from my own pocket although I pay MWEB every month.
2: I paid MWEB to migrate my Vumatel line to Open Serve. This was more than 2 weeks ago and still I haven't received any feedback from MWEB or Open Serve. I phoned MWEB 3 times regarding this and each time I am getting the same answers.
3: I am NOT paying my MWEB bill for the month of April 2026 as compensation for all the data I had to buy as well as all the telephone calls I had to made due to MWEB and Vumatel.
And 4: if Open Serve is NOT at my house first thing tomorrow morning (23/04/2026) I am canceling my MWEB and will go to a new Service Provider.
