The worst ISP in South Africa
I have been without internet for 7 days due to an error by Nomasonto Maphulo, who failed to check that Vumatel is not the provide in the complex i moved to. I follow up daily and get told that they wont even follow up with Clear Access. i spend HOURS, DAILY trying to get this resolved. I will advocate against Mweb forever

28 May 2026, 14:12Good day, Kiashen
Thank you for sharing this so candidly. Being without internet for 7 days, especially during a move, is incredibly disruptive, and we understand how frustrating this experience has been.

From our side, we have reviewed your order and can confirm that our Moving Home request is actively in progress. Our team that manages these orders has already taken action by logging an urgent follow-up with our Clear Access partners earlier today to address the activation delay.
These types of orders rely on coordination with the fibre infrastructure provider at your new complex, which is why the correction from Vumatel to Clear Access has impacted the timeline. That said, the urgency of your situation has been clearly communicated, and it is now receiving focused attention.
Our Moving Homes team will be in direct contact via email with a detailed update on the activation status and the next steps as soon as feedback is received from Clear Access. This will give you clear direction and timelines going forward.
We also recognise the concern raised around the initial handling of the provider check. That feedback is important and has been noted for internal review to ensure greater accuracy in future transitions.
Your case is now with the correct teams and is being actively driven toward resolution. We will continue to monitor progress closely to ensure this moves forward as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

29 May 2026, 15:04i called clear access, and they have been waiting for 3 days for Mweb to send them pictures of the hardware. i have received the entire email trail of unanwered emails from the day they received the request. nothing will change how i feel about Mweb. and while i may be just a number to you, i have had to incur significant data charges to do my job, simply because your representatives are spiteful!

01 Jun 2026, 16:05Hi Kiashen,
We understand how frustrating this has been. Being without connectivity while also having to absorb additional data costs is incredibly disruptive, and this is not how we want any of our clients to experience the service.
The team handling your move of premises remains actively engaged on your case and is working to ensure that everything required by Clear Access is provided so the activation can move forward without further delays. The situation has already been flagged with urgency, and efforts are being made to get this aligned so that progress is no longer blocked.
You will be provided with a detailed update via email, outlining the current status and next steps. The focus remains on getting your service activated as soon as possible and ensuring the process moves forward properly from here.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
