Thank you for leaving me red faced for an online stream for SABC International MWEB.

After a major let down with my previous internet provider I thought to myself that this time I would do my homework and go with a reputable company that has been around for years, after all this is NOT rocket science were talking about here... a simple service provider for internet. Pay your monthly subscription and get a service, in this case internet or in layman's terms data....

So here's the thing.... My brother who is a big shot IT for a reputable company here in South Africa was asked/invited for a live stream on SABC international about cyber crime last night 25/11/2024. It was a big thing for us as a family... not only due to the fact that we are proud as it is my little brother but hey a family member on television or an opportunity like that does not just fall out of the sky or happen everyday for your everyday just normal person.... IT IS A BIG THING!!!

We were going to live stream from my place, after all I have a descent and stable internet with a reputable company..... drum-roll .... MWEB!!! We have now set up all the audio an visual equipment for the live stream. Everything is ready to go but..... nothing.....no internet.... no feed

So my thinking...... I remembered with my previous provider the had an online wsapp service and I did recall upon signing with MWEB there was a wsapp line as well so I thought to quickly report it and see If I could be helped and it was right here where I realized EXACTLY what I signed up for or simpler put.... LACK THEREOF.....

The wsapp line is actually only there to direct you to report it online..... There is no after hours way to contact your service provider or more cleverly no way they could/can/want or would revert you to a call centre or anybody that could be of assistance immediately ........ not unless you follow protocol and log it online.... uhmmmm..... So let me get this straight?? I get a service provider to supply me with internet or data.... I pay for this service.... I get a problem ie. no data To report this problem I now have to go online? With what? Please answer me this?

Anyways we DID manage to still do the live stream..... NO THANKS TO MWEB. No I didn't report it online MWEB.... because when I finally did get internet again.... uhhh what am I supposed to report then? I am not impressed.... Not at all.
