Terrible service

My Telkom line died on 21 December and was reported to both telkom and Mweb. At first I was told 7 to 8 days. On 22 December I saw a technician close to my house at the telkom box and enquired. I was told its a line fault. 2 January I was told by mweb that it's 7-10 business days. Today I'm still without service and this morning the agent told me they would contact me. Since 8am I had no feedback. Three times I had to call from my cell 3 times mweb did not keep me up to date. Telkom refers me to mweb an mweb send me to Telkom. It's getting pathetic.

Good Day Jaco,

Thank you for taking the time to make contact with us.

The line fault is still open and we have followed up with Telkom regarding the fault.

I have now escalated a request to our team, to try and make contact with Telkom/Openserve via alternate escalation channels.

Further feedback will be provided to you in due course.

Kind regards
MWEB Client Services

Not required anymore, due to bad/no feedback from mweb I switched to a different supplier. I still however need to pay till end of february for a service telkom says will oy be fixed in 3-4 weeks as they need to oder cables. Poor service seems to be the norm opposed to the previous awesome service from mweb.

Thanks for the feedback Jaco.

Unfortunately there is not much we can do from our side to speed up faults related to cable issues.

I will pass your feedback along to our team, in order for them to confirm with Telkom regarding the cable issues.

Our team should be in contact with you.

Kind regards

I will not hold my breath to be contacted. As.I told mr Abrahams of your retention department, I need access to the internet to run my Photography business. The only feedback I get from Mweb is that they are dependend on Telkom and cannot promise a quicker resolution.Telkom told the users in our area thet they dont have cables in stock and down time could be for another 3-4 weeks. That is not an acceptable solution. I already used 30gb of data since 21 December to keep up with clients, prospective clients and to uplaod photos via dropbox. This is not a viable solution and I had to make a decision on what would benefit my personal and business use. I asked to cancell a service that is down since 21 December with no feedback from mweb as to what the TAT would be and was told that I can only stop at end February. I was promised a month free by mr Abrahams which helps me nothing with no internet at all. I had to switch to a wireless provider as it costs me too much to keep using mobile data. To me mweb did not come to the party to give proper feedback or to understand and assist in my position up to now appart from placing the blame on telkom.
