28 Apr 2026, 13:08Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to explain this in such detail. We understand how deeply frustrating and exhausting this has been for you, especially after more than a month of daily calls, repeated document submissions, and seeing a reference closed without resolution. Being left without clear updates after putting in so much effort is understandably upsetting.
Your VoIP porting request, including references MWB***6, MWB***5, and port-in number ***, has now been escalated to the team that handles VoIP porting requests. They have been asked to urgently follow up on the porting of number *** and to provide you with feedback via email as soon as possible, so you have direct communication and clarity on the progress.
Your experience, including the repeated document submissions, lack of updates, and communication challenges, will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review, as this is not the experience we want for our customers.
If you need further assistance or would like to continue engaging with us directly, you’re welcome to reach out via Hello Peter and our team will assist where possible.
Kind regards,
Mweb Team

29 Apr 2026, 09:33Hi Michael, we’ve reviewed the error and can see the email was rejected due to an SPF authentication failure. In simple terms, the receiving server did not recognise the sending email as authorised, so it blocked the message for security reasons.
This usually happens when an email is sent through a system or device that isn’t correctly aligned with the sender’s domain security settings, or when the email is forwarded in a way that changes the original sender identity.
To help resolve this, please do the following:
First, resend the email directly from the original mailbox (avoid forwarding it from another account or system if possible).
If you are using Outlook, ensure you are sending from the correct configured account and not through a shared or migrated setup that may affect authentication.
If the issue continues, it may require the sending domain’s SPF/DKIM settings to be reviewed and corrected so that the email is properly authorised to send on behalf of that domain.
Once corrected, the message should go through without being rejected by the recipient server.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

04 May 2026, 10:46This is ridiculous. It’s now 04 May 2026 and there is still no response. Every time I reach out via chat or phone, I spend 2–5 hours only to receive the same answer: “We’ve escalated this, you’ll get an update in 24–48 hours.”

04 May 2026, 11:58 I’ve been hearing the same thing every day for the past three weeks — and it just keeps going on. I finally got one call from MWeb where the agent apologized and said he would transfer me to the right person. Instead, I was put through to a recorded message saying the department is closed. It honestly feels like Groundhog Day. I’ve used most of my VoIP minutes just calling the MWeb hotline. This is completely unacceptable.

04 May 2026, 13:46Hi Michael, we hear your frustration, especially after repeated follow-ups, long call attempts, and not getting connected to the correct department when you were finally assisted. That kind of experience is understandably exhausting and not the standard we aim to deliver.
We’ve submitted a follow-up on your case to ensure it is actively reviewed again and that the correct team engages with you directly without further delays or misrouting. The intention is to break the cycle you’ve been experiencing and get you a clear, final response and resolution path.
We appreciate you continuing to engage with us despite the delays, and this has been flagged for urgent attention.

08 May 2026, 09:06Hi Michael, we can see how frustrating and urgent this situation is for you, especially with the lack of updates after multiple follow-ups. When a request like number porting is time-sensitive, any delay or silence understandably adds to the pressure and concern.
To give you clear context on what is happening right now: the porting request has already been submitted, and our team is currently awaiting feedback from the network provider responsible for processing and releasing the number. Until that confirmation is received on their side, the porting cannot be finalised, but the request is actively in progress and being tracked.
Your case remains open with our team, and it is being monitored to ensure we receive the necessary confirmation as soon as possible. We understand the importance of getting this completed urgently, and we’ve highlighted the priority on the request accordingly.
We also acknowledge the breakdown in communication and the lack of proactive updates you’ve experienced, that is not the standard we aim for, especially on a porting request where timing is critical. We are tightening oversight on your case so updates are followed through properly and not left unattended.
As soon as feedback is received from the network side, you will be updated immediately with the next step and expected completion timeline.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

We understand that receiving the same porting update repeatedly without any progress or clarity is incredibly frustrating, especially when you’ve been following the process and doing what’s required from your side. Seeing the same message over weeks would understandably make anyone feel ignored and question the level of support being provided, and this is not how we want our clients to experience the service.
It appears that the required documentation has not been received successfully, which is why the automated updates have continued. To help us ensure this is resolved without any further delays, we kindly ask that you resend the documentation. Once sent, please also provide the following details so we can pass them directly to the Porting Team and confirm receipt:

15 May 2026, 09:46Is this some kind of joke?
I have already sent all requested documents via email approximately 8 times. In addition, I uploaded them twice via the chat system and even received confirmation from your support staff that the documents had finally been received.
At this point, I will be handing this matter over to my legal insurance next week. I expect to be refunded for the flyer and business card costs, which amounted to approximately R3,000.
I will also be investigating what additional damages I may be entitled to claim, as my promotion was blocked for 6 weeks due to the missing phone number issue.
Thanks,
Michael Schuchardt

02 Jun 2026, 10:34Hello Michael.
We can see how frustrating this situation has been, especially with the repeated follow-ups and still no visible progress or feedback. When a number port is delayed like this, it directly affects your ability to use your service, and we understand why the lack of updates is unacceptable from your side.
We can confirm that our team is still actively working on the VoIP number porting request. Porting can sometimes take longer due to coordination between the current and receiving network providers, but we do understand that this does not change the impact it is having on you.
We’ve noted your ongoing concern that there has been no call back or email updates, and this is not the experience we aim to deliver. Your request remains active and in progress, and the team is continuing to follow up to push this forward as a priority.
We understand you need a clear outcome urgently, and as soon as there is confirmed feedback on the porting status, you will be updated directly.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

12 Jun 2026, 09:22Hi Michael,
The delay in your number porting with no calls, emails, or updates is not the experience you should be dealing with, especially given how long this has already been outstanding. I can understand the frustration when there’s still no visible progress despite repeated follow-ups.
We have followed up again with the porting team to urgently review the status of your request and push for immediate action. This has been flagged for priority attention so we can get clarity on what is causing the delay and ensure the process is completed without further unnecessary waiting.
Once we receive feedback from the team, we will come back to you with a clear update on the current status and next steps.

At this point, can we agree here on Hellopeter.com that MWeb’s support has been ineffective, unresponsive, and a complete waste of time?
I have shown more patience than most customers would. Unfortunately, that patience has not been rewarded with any meaningful support.

12 Jun 2026, 09:36Hi Michael,
This situation has clearly reached a point where the lack of progress and ongoing follow-ups without resolution has become unacceptable. Repeated escalation without visible movement on the porting request is not the experience we aim to deliver, and it’s understandable that your patience is now exhausted.
We are escalating this again to the porting team with clear urgency and priority handling, specifically requesting a confirmed status and completion timeline rather than another standard update. The focus now is no longer on follow-ups, but on getting a definitive resolution and final outcome for your number porting.
As soon as we receive feedback, we will come back to you with a concrete update on what is happening and the exact next step to close this out.
Kind regards,

12 Jun 2026, 10:28Hi Michael,
The conflicting communication you've received is understandably frustrating, especially being told your information has been received and the porting is progressing, and then later being asked again for a statement from your current ISP. That inconsistency should not be happening and it creates unnecessary confusion and delays on your side.
At this stage, the porting team has advised that they still require your latest statement from your current ISP in order to proceed with the number transfer. Without this document, they are unable to complete the final steps of the porting process.
To avoid any further back-and-forth, please send the statement through as soon as possible so the team can immediately continue with the porting and move this toward completion.
Once received, the request will be progressed without further delay.

23 Jun 2026, 09:49Hi Michael,
We understand your frustration here, especially as this has been ongoing with no visible progress from your side despite your urgency for the number port to be completed. From your perspective, the lack of clear updates is understandably unacceptable, particularly when you’re actively following up and still not seeing movement.
We have reviewed your query and can confirm that a follow-up was submitted with our Porting Team. The team has advised that they did make contact regarding the outstanding requirements for your porting request. At this stage, they have confirmed that the ISP statement has not yet been received, only the application form and ID were provided.
For the porting process to proceed, all required documentation must be in place to complete verification and approval on the receiving network’s side. Without the ISP statement, the request cannot be finalised, which is why the process remains on hold.
We do understand your concern regarding the lack of direct updates, and we have re-flagged your case with the Porting Team to ensure clearer communication and urgency going forward, especially given the time sensitivity you’ve expressed.
Once the outstanding document is received, the team will be able to proceed with the porting request immediately and provide you with a confirmed timeline.
We will continue to monitor this closely and ensure you receive a proper update from the team as soon as there is movement.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team.

23 Jun 2026, 15:09You are wasting tenths of expensive staff hours answering emails, complaints, phone calls, and repeated support messages.
Would it not be far more efficient for one support staff member to make a proper phone call, handle the issue directly, and stay with it until the problem is solved?
Instead, this has become a nightmare support “Groundhog Day,” where the same issue keeps coming back again and again without a real solution.

23 Jun 2026, 16:22Hi Michael,
We understand why you feel this way. From your perspective, you've invested a significant amount of time submitting documents, following up through multiple channels, and repeating the same information, yet the matter remains unresolved. It's understandable that you're questioning why a more direct approach has not brought this to a conclusion already.
We have followed up with the Porting Team again and included your feedback regarding the repeated interactions and the need for a more streamlined resolution process. We also understand your concern that continued correspondence without meaningful progress creates unnecessary frustration and delays.
At this stage, the Porting Team remains the team responsible for reviewing the documentation on file and progressing the porting request. Our follow-up has been logged, and the team will provide further feedback once they have completed their review of the case and the information submitted.
We appreciate your continued engagement despite the challenges you've experienced and understand your expectation for a clear and lasting resolution.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team.

This is the most redicules support I ever experient! Even a complain about the shocking support is not followed up! Where in the Company MWeb is only 1 Real Human to speak to?

We now have the 29.06.2026 and I still haven’t received a call back, email, or any update — nothing!
This is unbelievable. It cannot be possible that one company can be this useless.
I need the number ported urgently.

02 Jul 2026, 13:48Hi Michael,
Thank you for your follow up. It’s completely understandable how frustrating this must be, especially when you’ve been waiting for updates and it feels like nothing has changed despite your efforts to get this moving.
An update has now been received confirming that your VoIP porting is scheduled to be completed today. This should bring your request to a close, and it’s appreciated that you’ve remained patient while this has been worked through.
Your experience has been shared with our Service Quality Team, particularly around the delays and lack of communication, so this can be reviewed and improved going forward.
If anything still needs attention after today, feel free to continue engaging here and support will stay involved to ensure everything is finalised correctly.
Kind regards,
Mweb Team

03 Jul 2026, 10:03It is done! The number has finally been ported.
It only took around 4 months, over 30 messages on HelloPeter, about 20 phone calls lasting between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours each, 8 chat sessions of roughly 3 hours each, and more than 15 emails sending the same documents over and over again.
Honestly, I didn’t think this day would still come.
Just in case anyone is interested: during all this waiting, I had plenty of time to think about your support structure — and I’m pretty sure I could offer a solution to fix it.
Feel free to call me. 😉
PS: I solve this as a living!

03 Jul 2026, 12:16Hi Michael,
We’re glad to hear that the number port has finally been completed.
That said, we also fully understand the frustration behind your message. Having to follow up over a prolonged period with repeated calls, chats, and emails is not the experience we want any customer to go through, especially for something that should have been handled far more efficiently.
Your feedback about the overall process and support experience has been noted. While the outcome has now been resolved, the journey to get there clearly fell short, and we recognise the impact that has had on you.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
