Sales Staff Lie

After requesting that my business account be upgraded to fibre lines and that these lines from my home and the accountants home because we had fibre installed in the area and it was used for work. I was advised that this could be done, to which I rep**** that if this could not be done to my account manager Imraan(ex employee of Mweb) then forget it. Two weeks later to my surprise Lllewellyn Freeks tried contacting me for weeks and finally I accepted his call and to my surprise he said that he could link these accounts and because i was a existing account holder no pro rata fees would be applicable and he would come to my office to sign me up and get the ball rolling . To good to true i said and advised that my account manager said that it could not be done but he said he would handle all the nitty gritty and not to worry! Three to Four days later Llewellyn Freeks arrived at my offices to sign me up! On completing the application form for these fibre lines there was a box that needed to ticked that this was a new account to which I again asked Llewellyn was this correct because i already have a account? He again rep**** that it was a new service and that this was standard practice but not worry about it!! i again advised Llwellyn that if these accounts could not be linked i did not want these lines and again he said not to worry he would sort it out!! I then put my trust in him because on every occassion i asked i was told not to worry, so I let the process proceed!! Couple of weeks later my line was installed! Again just to be sure that these accounts could be linked I contacted Llewellyn and advised that the lines have been installed and before anything proceeds was it all okay with regards to linking these accounts to which he rep**** no problem!!! After advising him that the lines was installed he constantly contacted me to get these lines activated (it felt as if he was now forcing the installation to be completed as if he got a commission or something). After relentless calls from Llewellyn i finally went ahead and got these lines activated!!! Then the bills arrived on a new account ???? Contacted Llewellyn to find out what is happening, and he said he would sort it out!!! What a lie!!! He has never sorted it out and this could not be done!!!!! I then contacted the cancellations department and advised them of the whole story to which they rep**** that they would investigate and get back to me! This went back and forth for a couple of days and finally i was contacted by a lady in Johannesburg who advised me that the matter would be handled internally and warnings would be issued to the relevant parties and i that only need to pay R1600 to which i agreed!! Low and behold a month later i get a bill for R3812.34. I then contact the accounts department and advise them what has transpired and again i was advised that another investigation would need to take place and that the relevant people would contact me in 24 - 48hrs(never happened). Yetsreday i receive another bill via post this time for the same amount???? No investigation, No phone call.

Mweb's staff are lying to me all the time!!!!!!!!! The principle of the matter is that i was **** from the start and i am still been **** to, Mweb's staff member Llewellyn Freeks promised me a service that could be linked to my business account from the start(he probably knew it could not be linked) and at no time was I advised that this could not happen, even after numerous requests that if this could not be done i did not want the fibre lines. But He went ahead anyway with his lies!!! How many other people has this happened to? Are Mweb's staff forcing fibres lines down customers throats for a kick back? Mweb threatens customers with the ITC BA when there staff are at fault? This is a breach of contract!!!!!

I tried calling the call centre this morning and the phone rang for 15min with no answer? What a joke!!!

Reviewer Update
Pleased refer to above mentioned complaint and this is the update!! Mweb has now handed me over to ITC. The lady that promised the bill would be reduced to R1600 did contact me and again advised the bill for R1600 stands and she would send me a statement of account reflecting that full and final settlement is R1600! Today I receive a mms stating that I am now handed over to ITC. I have never received a final account therefore could not make payment. I contacted the call centre in Cape Town today and they advise me that there is no remarks listed on the account stating everything that was agreed to and why was I speaking to someone from Johannesburg because they no nothing about Cape Town's accounts? MWEB's branch does not no what the other is doing? So if i had paid on a account that did not stipulate full and final payment this would have been handed over anyway because Johannesburg should not get involved with Cape Towns accounts!! What a joke this is!! I am highly irate that after all the promises that was made by MWEB and still they went ahead and did something totally different that was agreed to!!!
