I have, over a few years, 2 contracts with MWEB, now on a month to month contract. Recently, I have had to have several communications with a certain Trevor Joost and Marlon in order to move my router etc from one house to another, literally up the road from the previous installation address. Bear in mind that MWEB colludes with VUMATEL to install the fibre. Trevor was insistent that if I wanted to relocate, I MUST take a 12 month contract for the particular address to where I was relocating or pay an installation fee. I agreed.

They finally had Gugulethu of BRITELINK to contact me in order to do the installation. I advised Gugulethu that the installation may be effected in a few days as I still had to move to the new place (200 metres away). She said that I must advise her when I have relocated. After I relocated, I even had an e-mail communication from MWEB confirming that my new installation was on its way. When I contacted Gugulethu to continue with the installation, she responded by saying that my order was rejected and that I ought to contact my service provider. When I contacted MWEB after a wait of about 20 minutes, Xoliswa advised that a new ticket/order had to be created which means another 10 to 14 days to install. Now the questions are: 1. Who's problem is it that the order was rejected? MWEB of course. They are making their problem my problem. There is clearly a miscommunication between MWEB and the installer, BRITELINK according to the e-mail address supp**** by Gugulethu. Can you believe it? An internet service provider has miscommunications and then imputes the blame on the consumer. Please go to another provider and I have read several ******* reviews regarding VUMATEL. I am cancelling my contracts and I will have to opt for another ISP and fibre supplier. I hope all the staff of the above businesses die in the plague and I hope their competition grows to the extent that MWEB and their collusionists are driven into the ground.
