Port to MWEB NIGHTMARE!!!
I am a client of MWEB and I had no issues with them, However I recommended my neighbour to Mweb as he has been with webafrica and when there is an issue he cannot get hold of them as he doesn't have access to Watsapp nor emails.
I informed he that he should move to MWEB because if he has any issues he can just call and speak to a person that will help.
It has been an absolute nightmare trying to move from webafrica to MWEB and absolute horror.
The first contact was made on the 02/02/2026 at 9:01am I spoke to a lady informed her about signing up with Mweb, she advised we need to give it about 5 days then we can call and signup. the wait is for webafrica to release the line.
on the 12/02/26 at 17:52 we called again this time spoke to Zuriah Fakier, she was great informed us that she needs proof of residence in order to move the line from webafrica to Mweb, I provided my email address to her to use for my neighbour. She sent me an email and where I needed to send the proof of address to, which I did the same evening.
On the 16th of Feb I emailed her asking if everything is ok for the connection? I have still not received any response.
I called this morning again at 8:02 I spoke to a lady she said she will contact the activations team and have it sorted it won't be longer than 2 minutes, I was expecting she would contact the team and give them all the info as we did authentication on the phone. She just cold transferred me to activations.
I spoke to a guy there he did authentication again and told me it has to be with the sales team etc he is going to contact them, I was once again cold transferred to the sales team.
The sales team check and informed me that there is no application for my neighbour.
What should have been a simple transition an extra client for MWEB turned out to be a nightmare.
I wasted so much of my time on calls trying to give MWEB a new client, clearly MWEB doesn't want more business.
