Poor service, lack of accountability, inefficient procedures
MWeb provides shockingly poor service. Not only will you wait for literal hours to get through to a consultant, but once you do get through to them, they will assure you that they have logged your request and it's gone through, only for you to have to start the process again weeks later because they did not in fact do what they were supposed to do. And their processes are so foolishly complicated because for some reason you can't make those changes to your account yourself. You need them and their unaccountable staff to do it for you.
After days of trying to get through to MWeb for a downgrade, I finally got through and had my ticket logged on 17 Feb with the promise the downgrade would be put through on 1 March, but this was not the case at all, that ticket is still pending, and I have been on the phone for over 50 minutes now trying to get through to a representative when I was fourth in line at the start (I'm only caller number three currently).
And don't even think that their chat functions will help you either because the whole day will go by without assistance.
Save yourself the hassle and get a provider with better and speedier service, and ease of use.
MWEB if you respond to this, I don't want apologies, I want action!
I was just on the phone for 1h30 minutes trying to get through to a consultant to have Mweb fix their own error, just for the line to connect and be met with absolute silence, and I am having to try again (surprise surpise, I am still on hold).
MWeb, if you try report this again, I am more than happy to email further proof to the website's complaints department when they follow up with me. Instead of monitoring Hello Peter why don't you improve your client services and actually resolve the problems you've caused by lengthy delays??
