Paying for non existent fibre internet
A few weeks ago I signed up for fibre internet with Mweb under the guarantee that I would only start paying once the fibre line was installed via their 3rd party provider. One week later I suddenly received email confirmation from Mweb that my order was now active and they would be debiting over R3400 from my account via debit order. Needless to say the fibre line has not been installed yet and no one has even called me to book the installation yet. When I called Mweb to complain the feedback was 'sorry it seems your order was activated in error but debit order will now deduct R3400+ from your account on 1st september' and apparently it could take at least a month for the money to be returned. I've logged two calls with call center and neither has been resolved to even fix the problem, nevermind refunding the money. No one can give me clarity on how this will be fixed, when my fibre line will actually be installed and when I will be refunded the money I've been charged in error. This is shocking customer service and I've advised my neighborhood forum to avoid Mweb at all costs.
