Paying for a service that i haven't even used
I had signed up for a 4Mb line on the 10 Feb 2015. I was advised that this would be suitable for my gaming & streaming needs. The line went active on 19-Feb-2015. I've been having upload speed issues since then till now. Since my line has been active my PC & PS3 has been downloading updates/DLCs for my games as you require these to be able to game online as well as streaming videos.
A monthly cap of 110Gb is all i was made aware about. On the 6-Mar-2015 i had contacted MWeb to inquire as to why i had been throttled. The rep had informed of the 30 day rolling threshold & had informed me that it would be reset in a few days. I accepted this as i know my games updates are large & decided to wait for the throttle to be lifted.
I contacted MWeb again (9-Mar-2015) to find out why I'm still being throttled. They have now informed me that since i'm a new customer i was being monitored & i would have to wait a month to be unthrottled. No one cared to mention that there is a probation period when i was signing up. On requesting to cancel my account they told me that i still have to pay them until the end of April. I refuse to pay for an extra month when i know i won't be using it.
