Not even an MWeb customer and they are *****ing me over

I recently moved into a new place, the previous tenants cancelled their MWEB fiber 3 weeks ago, however MWeb is refusing to release the line, in an attempt to ****** me into signing up for their awful, overpriced service. This behavior is not indicative of a good company, as if they offered competative services they would not have to rely on such tactics to force desperate people into getting their garbage internet.
