Nonexistent support
It is at this point impossible to get any support. App chat never connects you to an agent. Every time I call I'm number 20-30 in line. When I was number 15 I was on hold for 90 minutes. Then when you get through, they can't phone you back if the call drops, and sorry that's just the way it works.
Support is absolutely pathetic and does not seem they care to do anything about it.

05 Mar 2026, 13:40I just received a message saying they'll keep me updated. That is not an update. The line speed is fixed but the connection is still unstable. I live stream and it keeps dropping at random intervals.

05 Mar 2026, 14:03I've spoken to an Vodacom technician and he says if there is packet loss it's because the line was not provisioned properly by MWEB. Please have someone contact me, I can not get through to support via call or app. Luckily you seem to have enough sales agents because there I am first in line :/

05 Mar 2026, 14:31Hi Elali. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we completely understand how frustrating persistent packet loss can be, especially when you rely on your connection for work or streaming. We want to help you get clarity and improve your connection. While our team works on reaching out directly, here are some expert tips to help manage and reduce packet loss in the meantime:
- Check Your Router Placement – Ensure your router is in an open space, away from walls or other electronics, and elevated if possible. Interference can impact packet delivery.
- Wired vs Wireless – A direct Ethernet connection often provides the most stable connection. Packet loss is usually higher over Wi-Fi, especially over long distances or through multiple walls.
- Restart & Update – Power cycle your router and ensure its firmware is up to date. Some provisioning issues can be mitigated once the router syncs properly.
- Reduce Network Load – Heavy simultaneous downloads, streaming, or multiple devices on your network can increase packet loss. Temporarily limiting usage can help identify if it’s a network-wide issue.
- Monitor & Record – Use tools like ping or traceroute to track packet loss patterns. This gives technical teams concrete data to pinpoint provisioning or routing problems. R^
