Mzansi, don't ignore over 10,000 1 star reviews!

Seriously - don't ignore them. There are so many ISPs to choose from - I beg of you, for your own sake choose another! I originally signed up at my old property in 2021 and had a great experience, but something has gone very, very wrong since then and when I moved now in 2025 it was a totally different story. I can confirm that the customer service is now very, very bad.

My experience: - I waited almost two weeks for internet to get switched on at a property with an existing fibre line. I eventually cancelled my order due to lack of support or assistance despite numerous phone calls. - It is very difficult to get hold of anyone if there is an issue. You're often waiting in a line to speak to an agent, and there is an equally long wait on the online chat. - If you get hold of an agent, they may make it seem like the issue is getting resolved, but I began to doubt this after a week of phone calls repeating the same story to different people with no change. There is no consistency on who is working on your case so its impossible to properly follow up on an issue. - There is no transparency about the process. You receive a reference number but no written record of the issue or confirmation of instructions - they refuse to provide this. The reference numbers serve no purpose and have not been referenced by any other customer service agents through my numerous calls. - The agents refused to put me through to a manager or some sort of responsible authority to discuss the issues. You're left speaking to call centre agents who not given power or authority to solve the issues, and can only tell you "I've informed so-and-so." This is not the fault of the agents - I would assume its an intentional defensive 'barrier' by MWEB.

PRO TIP: When calling the call centre, select the option for "New customer." They answer that phone much, much quicker than any of the others...

PS: choose an ISP with good HelloPeter ratings.
