MWEB'S PATHETIC SERVICE AND NO QUALIFIED STAFF
On Wednesday, 22nd May we arrived at the office to find that Octotel service was down. At around 10am, they advised that their service was back online.
We had no internet, although it came on and went off again on 1 phone line.
Since then, I have made at least 6 calls to the helpline. For 3 days we have had no internet service from MWeb.
The range of solutions included, buy a new router (this seemed strange as prior to the fibre outage all worked fine). We purchased a new router which is now installed but there is nobody on the help lines with the capability to provision the new router. I have been told that a technical expert is needed and they will call me. Although i have been told this for 3 days now, I have not received a call. Does MWeb have any staff capable of running their platform?
I have spent 3 days and a lot of money on calls, new routers and lost sales with this pathetic service.
There is nobody to call and talk to and the mega company has you waiting and having to watch as your business goes without sales. Who can afford to have all their staff sitting around, waiting for a non existent technical expert.
I would like to know if MWeb will re-imburse me for the R100's of thousands of rands potential sales we have lost. And to compensate all my staff for lost commissions.
I have advised all the so called technical staff that I am available 24 hours of the day to get a call from somebody who knows what they are doing, but no calls are forthcoming. The staff are rude and unhelpful as they seem to offer the same answers from a que card they are taught.
Any advice on how to solve this mess?
