MWEB - Why do I pay for no service.

After over a month of no service I again phoned MWEB to enquire what was happening with regards to getting TELKOM to fix my ASDL line (as I was advided to deal only with MWEB). I was asked if someone had been around to fix the line already - to which I had to again state that the reason for my call was because nobody had fixed the line. To cut a long story short I enquired if I would be receiving a credit on this months billing as I had not had service for over a month. The responce I received was that no credit would be forthcoming until the line was repaired - once repaired I would receive a credit. I asked why this was and was told that MWEB needed to get a Credit from Telkom before they would credit their client. I advised that TELKOM had already issued me with a credit on the phone line and why I should be paying for a service I didn't receive. "That's the way the system works" I was told. So, I would like to offer myself to MWEB, billed on a monthly basis, I will provide no service what so ever, and should I get employed by MWEB, I'll credit them with the money paid to me - makes sence to me !! I asked what would happen if I wanted to cancel my service with MWEB - would I get a credit then ? I was advised that I needed to give a calander months notice first - so I did. Roll on 1st September - I should be getting a big credit from MWEB - I wonder if they will credit my bank account or give me MWEB credits to use on my next non-service ??
