MWEB - Where is your ethical compass?

MWeb charge me R1,039pm for a 50mbps line, a contract that I took out a few years ago. I noticed that they currently charge R999pm for a 100mbps line.

As a loyal customer I feel betrayed. Why would they not inform me, that I can get a faster line at a reduced fee? This line is out of contract and currently month-to-month.

When I questioned them. Their response - "The product that you are subscribed to is the one you have app**** for"

Disappointing. Whilst this behavior is perfecting legal, I personally view it as ethically questionable.
