By the way, one star is one too many. You will not believe what I'm having to put up with at the moment. After 10 years ADSL, I recently changed to LTE (provided via CellC). I've been offline since 19 November when CellC had an outage. After I was unable to reconnect after the outage, I took my router and SIM down to Mweb near me. My SIM was then found to be faulty on 22 November and I was promised hand and mouth it would be escalated, expedited and accelerated. Nothin happened, numerous calls and empty promises later, one story after the other, I received notification last Thursday 6 December that my package had been collected by the courier and I'd hear from them. I phone the courier on Thursday and asked when delivery will be. The said Monday (i.e. today), not possible earlier. I asked that they make it somewhat urgent, I have to keep buying out-of-bundle data (so far R600) to remain online. By 11h00 this morning I contacted Mweb to find out what was going on - still no word from courier etc. They got back to me and claimed the courier had tried to contact me several times this morning for delivery without success. I was at home the entire morning and there were no missed calls on my phone. Oh, perhaps they have the wrong number - yeah, right. Gave them my number again. By 14h00 I'd not heard a thing, I phoned the courier, who informed me the package was still in JHB and will be delivered on Thursday. Got back to Mweb because it was clear the courier had not tried to contact me and asked them to explain this BS. What did I get? Sorry to hear that, it will be 'escalated' to the hardware team. Next I got, the feedback they got was, we have to wait for the courier to deliver (obviously whenever it suits them). I threatened to cancel my contract at some point last week when I spoke to one of the useless people at Mweb, no sooner had I put the phone down and I got an SMS reminding me I'd be charged a R1629.0 (sic) penalty fee if I cancelled my contract. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to get this sorted or get out? And yes, for the rest of you out there - NEVER MWEB!
