MWEB Terms & Conditions

I have been a cleint for MWEB for years now, and they recently pulled something i cant comprehend. I sign a contract on a 3G modem and put a cap on it, and its on Debit order,

They starting pulling through debit order way more than what i expect and upon asking i get a response which is condescending,

"You may have stipulated that you wish your credit lock limit to be set at R50.00 however as per the MWEB Terms & Conditions,

"5.1 We do not guarantee the efficiency of any monitoring service and you remain responsible for the monitoring and controlling of your usage of the Service. We accordingly do not accept responsibility if you exceed your Bundle, and we will charge you for such usage at our prevailing rates monthly in arrears."

This means that the base caps limits are not guaranteed on wireless packages. This means that if you are in a session once you've reached your limit, you will not be cut off, the session will continue until you disconnect which may incur additional charges.

You exceeded your monthly data cap thus you are billed per MB thereafter. This excess usage was billed in arrears. You would not have incurred these additional costs if you had stayed within your credit lock limit. We are thus unable to credit your account and you are liable for all outstanding charges."

I am still shocked and in disbelief.
