Mweb sucks!!

This is by far the worse people to communicate with. I've sent numerous emails and called several times to speak to an agent. No one got back to me and I've been trying to get hold of them for 3 hours.

I had an order place to move homes about two weeks ago which was approved.

A property on our premises has Mweb Fibre installed. I was told by the technicians that an installation would not be possible at this time, as we have paving flooring installed. I unfortunately do not have my own fibre box, but my neighbour who stays on the same property has a box installed.

Can I switch over to LTE and would I be held liable for this month should I need to cancel my fibre ? Please advise on what the next best steps would be.

Hello  Meshé We can see how frustrating this has been, especially after multiple attempts to reach us and not getting the response you needed while trying to coordinate something as important as a move. That kind of delay and uncer*****y isn’t the experience we want for you. From what you’ve shared, it sounds like the fibre installation at your new premises may currently not be feasible due to the paving, and that’s understandably disruptive to your plans. The feedback from the technicians is important here, as fibre requires a viable installation path to your specific unit. Using a neighbour’s ONT isn’t something that can be supported, as each line is uniquely provisioned per address. In terms of next steps, you do have options:
  •  We can look at transitioning you to an LTE solution to keep you connected in the interim
  •  Alternatively, we can review your order and billing status, including whether any charges apply for this month based on the activation and installation outcome
To get this resolved properly and give you clear, accurate answers, please share your registered email address linked to the order via private message so we can take a closer look and assist you directly as soon as possible. We’ll make sure you’re guided through the best possible solution from here.

Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

Hi Meshé ,  We understand how important it is to stay connected, especially when both you and your husband are working from home and relying on a stable internet connection while awaiting the fibre installation. We can confirm that we have sent this matter to our Sales Team to assist with the LTE transition request and to help facilitate the most suitable temporary connectivity solution while the fibre installation is being completed. We appreciate your continued support over the past four years and understand the urgency of getting you connected as soon as possible. The team will review the request and provide feedback on the available options. Kind regards,
 The Mweb Team

Hi Meshé,
Thank you for the update and for confirming that the installation has been completed. At this stage, your service is still pending activation. Once the activation process has been fully completed, you will receive a confirmation SMS advising that the service is ready to use.We understand your concern regarding the PON light flashing. This can sometimes occur while the line is still being provisioned on the network. We will continue to monitor the activation status on our side and ensure the process is completed as quickly as possible. As soon as everything has been finalised, you’ll be notified via SMS.Kind regards,
 The Mweb Team
