MWeb special Fibre deal that turned out not so special!

On 16 August I decided to accept a fibre package from my Internet Service provider, MWeb as Telkom is no longer supporting ADSL lines and I have had ongoing connection issues. The package offered was priced at R579 plus an additional R287.5o per month for six months being the cost of the Vumatel Fibre connection (R1725 in total). Two weeks later MWeb offers free fibre connection, only the R579 subscription of 10 MBPS - No Vumatel installation cost! When I took this up with MWeb as a long-serving subscriber (over 20 years) they refused to consider my request to dispense with the installtion fee on the basis that it was not available when I converted to Fibre. I am also a pensioner so I feel MWeb did not really want to go the extra mile and fully consider my request. A really poor show!
