Mweb Service not up to Standard

My outgoing emails were blocked on Tuesday morning. Contacted Support on Tuesday 7 April 2026 and was advised to change password and check security on my Computer and problem would be resolved. Thursday still no outgoing mails working tried to contact support but after getting to caller number 26 phone cuts off. Contacted Support this morning at 07H30 spoke to Moses. I advised him of the problem and also that my IP Address was blocked. He advised he would send an email to a department in Mweb to Unblock the email address and IP and copy me in. Well I got the email requesting the de list but nobody else was copied in the email so is this going to be done or not - who knows. Have just spent another 2 HOURS waiting for support only to be cut off at Number 1 again?????? Tried the chat for support at 13H00 - please hold while we connect you - STILL WAITING (13H23) Four days later and my problem is still not resolved. The is not the service that I have previously experienced with Mweb and I have been a customer for a VERY long time. Either Customer Service does not matter anymore or Mweb need more staff!

Hello  Jennifer Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We understand how disruptive this has been, especially with your outgoing emails being blocked and the repeated difficulty in reaching support. This is not the level of service you should expect, particularly as a long-standing customer. From what you’ve described, it does appear that your email account or IP may have been temporarily blocked, typically as a protective measure if unusual activity or spam-like behaviour is detected. While the delisting request has been initiated, we agree that clearer communication and follow-through should have been provided. To help you in the meantime, here are a few expert checks that can assist in resolving or preventing this issue:
  • Confirm your email password has been updated and is strong and unique
  • Run a full virus and malware scan on all devices that access your email, as compromised devices can trigger blocks
  • Check your email client settings, especially SMTP (outgoing server) settings, ensuring authentication is enabled, and ports are correct (typically port 587 with TLS)
  • Try sending from Webmail, if available, to confirm whether the issue is device-related or account-related
  • Restart your router to refresh your IP address, which can sometimes resolve IP-based blocks
  • Avoid bulk sending or large attachments temporarily, as this can retrigger blocks while your account is being monitored

Please feel free to send us a private message for any further assistance.
Kind regards,
The Mweb Team
