Mweb service and responses are useless
After my initial complaint about Mweb's poor customer service they responded with a totally useless suggestion to direct mail/contact them (on which address/number???) . We followed normal customer service protocol and the only way to lodge a complaint by calling the call centre. Our call to Mweb lasted TWO hours and we were number 1 for the last ten minutes waiting to be answered when the call dropped. It would mean that we would have to start over again. Other residents in our neighbourhood received a notice from their ISP to advise them that there is a problem in our area and they are working on it! How about that? We were without internet for more than a day and never heard a thing from Mweb. On Downdetector it said that no problems have been detected, yet there were reports logged there as well.
It’s clear how frustrating this has been, especially after going through the effort of raising the issue previously and still not seeing improvement in the way your concern was handled. When communication feels unclear and inconsistent, it can understandably affect your confidence in the support process.
This experience did not meet the level of clarity and responsiveness we aim to provide, particularly when it comes to ensuring customers know exactly how and where to get assistance.
To help you stay informed moving forward, you can check for network updates and notifications using the following:
- Outage status page: https://help.mweb.co.za/outages
- Notification guide: https://help.mweb.co.za/articles/connectivity/lte/lte-troubleshooting/how-to-get-notified-about-network-outages
Your feedback will be shared with our Service Quality Team for review and improvement, as visibility during service disruptions and ease of getting support are critical to the experience we aim to provide
If you are still experiencing connectivity issues or need further assistance, please send us a direct message on Hello Peter with a brief description of the issue, along with your email address and cellphone number linked to the account, and the team will be happy to assist further.
Kind regards,
Mweb Team
