Mweb's 12 month contract : Not so much 12 months

I took out a contract with MWEB for a 12 MONTH special with 2 gig data and a ****le for R89 a month. My contract ended in October - which means it is a 12 month contract, so it would end in October. I have been debited for November and when I contacted MWEB, I was informed that the contract DOES NOT END and now I have to pay ANOTHER month because it is apparently my \Notice month""; you would sit in jail for life after receiving a 12 month sentence. That is the same right;MWEB? """

Hello elanad2,

Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns.

Our customer care representative has since been in contact with you.

We have explained that 3G contracts reverts to month to month once the contract period expires. Similar to a Cell phone contract.

A cancellation request would need to be submitted in order for the contract to be cancelled, as the contract will not cancel automatically.

This is also covered in our Terms and conditions, which you would have signed at point of sale.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further feedback or assistance.

Kind regards
MWEB Client Services
