I have had endless problems with my line speed. I pay for something I don't receive. Its a constant problem that keeps happening every 2-3 months. I have to keep fitting because I have to keep phoning them. Paying for 3g data because my line is unusable. I am supposed to be on a 10mbps line. Sometimes its so slow I don't even get 6kbps. MWEB passes the blame to Telkom. I don't have a contract with Telkom. Yet, Mweb basically shrug their shoulders and don't get the problems fixed permanently. A person cant even complain to MWEB, because they have no facility or options on their website where a person can complain. I have spoken to managers, sung my sad story to numerous techs. And all they say is "I understand" - although the managers seems to be a bit more rude, Tech staff tried to help. They don't understand, I run a business. But let me go over my threshold because I have to keep redoing work they are quick to throttle a person. I have phoned and phoned, I have logged a query via my account online, I have PM them in FB and MWEB is so arrogant. The techs are good and try to help but they cant. CPA #9 - the right to hold a supplier accountable. MWeb cant care less. Next place to cpmplain is their FB page, maybe then a person will get some joy out of them
Good Day JanaKM,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns.
It sounds like you've had an unpleasant experience.
Please note that the line infrastructure does not belong to MWEB, we rent the ADSL line portion from Telkom on your behalf.
This means that we manage the relationship with Telkom, when encountering line faults.
Unfortunately, we cannot affect change on the Telkom infrastructure and depend on them to address line faults.
The line is now showing a sync speed of 10Mbps, after Telkom has made some adjustments from their side.
We made contact with you yesterday and arranged to leave the fault open, while you test your connection.
Please do let us know when you encounter an issue with speeds, in order for us to have a close look at the line.
Kind regards
