Mweb once good now exceedingly poor.

Mweb, were an excellent internet provider but of late have sank to a new low. I recently acquired an LTE router believing I was contracted to Mweb only to find that I was now contracted to Telkom. Ever since then my speed fluctuates, is poor and often nonexistent. Trying to contact Mweb is now become laborious and time consuming. Previously it was almost instantaneous. Now it can take up to 6 mins just to get through all the required information and they insist on sending you an OTP. But invariably you can’t receive it because the system is down. So you use up valuable air time and it becomes costly. They refuse to phone you back so in effect there is no communication that end. Sending e mails is as pointless, nothing ever gets resolved. I am not sure if its Mweb, or because they are contracted to Telkom. Whatever the issue they now provide a shocking service and once this lockdown is over I have every intention of cancelling my contract, I believe I have legal grounds and fortunately have more than sufficient evidence. In reality they no longer provide an effective service. This is a warning to others seeking a provider. Mweb was once excellent, now gone to the dogs. They are honestly not worth the hassle even if they may come cheaper than another provider.

Reviewer Update
Yesterday I posted a message via face book regarding slow, intermittent and at time nonexistent wifi. This was months of trying to communicate with Mweb and to say I was fed up, angry and disillusioned was an understatement . Then in response to that message I was told that that a person from technical will phone me at 2 pm. This happened, to my amazement, and despite issues of trying to log in my internet the problem was eventually resolved. I wish to express my gratitude to a gentleman called Carl. For well over an hour he very patiently took me through numerous steps and despite each one of them failing he finally and very patiently, eventually dealt with the issue. He is a credit to mweb and I hope he remains there. I feel we are quick to complain, but equally credit must be given where its due. However, having said the above, mweb has lost a lot of credibility, judging by comments made through various media and particular Helopeter. Mweb seem not to reply to comments made via this forum. Rather sad actually. Anyway, hopefully, through persons such as Carl that former, so excellent, mweb will be restored. I wait in anticipation. Thank you Carl
