MWEB Mail Server Down Regularly
The MWEB Mail Server was down from 9 am to 5.50 pm with no emails being sent or received. It took for ever to eventually get through the Call Center who never knew what was going on. If one looks at Hello Peter, it can be seen that this is a regular occurrence. Does anybody at MWEB know what's going on? I have moved my ISP long ago after being fed up with poor service, bad ADSL performance, latency and down time, unfortunately my business email are historically still with MWEB because they had taken them over, namely iafrica and tiscali. I guess stop MWEB damaging by business any further I am going to have change Mail Servers to someone else which is a major headache.

One of our upstream service providers experienced a major failure on their network just before 8:00am yesterday morning.
Unfortunately this impacted our e-mail platform and you would not have been able to send or receive mail on your MWEB mailbox for the better part of yesterday. The problem has now been rectified and all mail services are back up and running. Unfortunately, due to the duration of the outage, there is a significant backlog of mail that has to be processed and we expect that this will take a few hours to clear.
We will be meeting with our service provider during the course of today to establish what steps they have put in place to prevent a reoccurrence of this issue in the future.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration that this has caused.
