4 years ago, we took out a contract with MWEB for R299. R219 was subsided by our employer On the 1st of March, I got an email from MWEB to say that our Employee is delinking the process
From: Info ********** Sent: 01 March 2018 02:03 PM To: *** Subject: NOTIFICATION: Employer delinking process
Good day
Employer delinking process Employer has taken the decision that all staff accounts will no longer be linked to the Employer parent account.
What you need to know: - You will be responsible for your own account and will start receiving invoices and statements - As a Employer employee you will still receive the R 219 subsidy - The change will be effective 1 Mar 2018 What you need to do: - Complete the attached debit order form, this will ensure your account is paid timeously.
General - Should you not return the debit order form the account will remain on cash - Kindly note if accounts are not up to date normal collection process will follow

So, we all thought its going to continue as usual where I pay the balance of R80 like i've been doing for 4 years without fail. i signed the debit order form, asked MWEB how much will be debited on my account. they responded by saying i mus check my statement. RE: Ticket MWB ********** An amount of R2228.52 was debited on my account. I immediately reversed it because i do not have R2000 sitting in my account for nothing. it became back and forth with emails and calls as i was told that i have subscribed to VAS services. I have no idea what that VAS is, who VAS is and when i agreed to subscribed to it. A customer service consultant told me that i used 7GIGS of data and thats how much i had to pay. For 4 years, i had 5Gigs of data which was capped. Out of nowhere this was uncapped coz according to MWEB, it wasnt capped. funny coz every month i buy prepaid data when the contract finishes. We all do that here at employer. I have reference numbers because i refuse to pay this ridiculous amount of money for something i know nothing about. another invoice came thru on the 24th of April saying that i owe MWEB R4426.71. Note that i will also reverse this payment should it come through. MWEB are *******. I took out a better contract with a different service provider, but im being billed a ridiculous amoutn of money. i havent been using their simcard mara i owe them. I have canccelled this Stupid contract mara somehow i owe them coz lemme guess, they will tell me i was phishing right! *******s this is not a contract i signed with MWEB, so why must i be **********? im not stupid that i will browse thru content and play games and nonsense like that. MWEB tells me they have nothing to do with VAS thing. then who? Even MTN doesnt recognise this VAS thing i took, i need them to show me or prove to me taht YES, i accepted it, akere MWEB is billing me this amount. i will continue to expose, post and alert every1. even people thinking of signing with MWEB, they need to know what nonsense they are getting themselves into.
Good day Juju101
