Mweb is a red flag. No go.

Wow. I paid upfront to fast track fibre with mweb and nothing. It's been over a week. Their call centre keeps saying I am 1st in line then 8 then 7 then 4th. These people have ai bots on their supposed live chat that I have waited for days for and then they keep resetting the chat. Never in my life have I experienced such incompetence. I am infuriated and angry. We have spent so much money phoning them and buying data while waiting for them. I want a refund. Useless incompetence.

Hello Xani.

We understand how upsetting this has been, especially after making an upfront payment with the expectation of a faster turnaround. Waiting over a week without clear progress, combined with the difficulty reaching support and the added cost of staying connected in the meantime, places unnecessary strain on you.The experience you’ve described around call queues and chat interruptions is not the level of service we aim to deliver, and it’s important that this is addressed properly. Please share your registered email address with us via private message so we may access your order and investigate this thoroughly. From there, we will prioritise your case, provide a clear update on your fibre installation, and review your request for a refund based on the delays experienced. We are committed to getting this resolved with urgency and ensuring you receive the clarity and outcome you need.

Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

I paid upfront to fast track this stupid order and it's been close to a month waiting for mweb. Are you now going to ***** that money and still take the full amount after I paid to fast track it.

 Hello Xani.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We can see how this situation has been frustrating, especially after choosing the fast-track option. We’ve reviewed your account and can confirm that our team successfully connected with you via chat two days ago. During that session, it was confirmed that the delay is linked to the current status of the fibre line with Vumatel. At present, the previous ISP still holds ownership of the line at your address. According to Vumatel’s system, they have scheduled the line release for 20 June. Until that release is completed, no new provider is able to activate services on that line. This is a standard industry control that prevents multiple providers from making conflicting changes on the same infrastructure and ensures the stability and integrity of the network. We understand that this directly impacts your expectation of a fast-tracked activation. The fast-track process applies once the line is available for transfer; in this case, the dependency on the previous provider’s release is what is causing the delay. That said, we are not leaving this as is. We have already escalated your order to the dedicated team that manages all Vumatel activations and logged a request for them to engage Vumatel and the current provider to attempt an earlier line release. We are actively pushing for the soonest possible resolution and will continue to monitor this closely. If you would like, you are also welcome to reach out to us via Live Chat so we can provide real-time updates as soon as there is movement on the release. We appreciate your patience while we work to get your service up and running as quickly as possible.

Kind regards,
The Mweb Team

My order number with Vodacom is SO***. You can contact them directly. They have asked you to phone them because our line was cancelled end of April already so mweb has mixed us up with another tenant on this property. We also had a fibre line so it wasn't even a release issue. This was your issue. Your call centre is just as useless I have been caller 2 for 20 minutes. Am I going to be refunded for the fast track? Sort this out please. We were referred to you by friends and this is unacceptable we haven't even started.

I have had enough. We were referred to mweb by friends complementing them to the high heavens. This has been the worst case of incompetence and lack of customer service I have ever come across. You are goung to give me a heart attack with this bull****. I am done. Refund my fast track money and come fetch your piece of **** router and modem. Mweb can't seem to understand when they're told the line was cancelled on the 1st of May. We are different tenants on the same plot. We have waited weeks and I am just asked for more and more **** and nothing is being done to help us. If you can't phine vodacom and get clarity tosay and sort this out. Refund my money. We don't want to even be with mweb now anymore. How the hell will you be if we are actual customers. No effing way. Go ***** yourselves. Pay back my money you stole.
