Mweb Inability to provide service and serious lack of communication.

As a last resort, I am turning to this platform in the hope that I will get a positive resolve to the inability of Mweb to provide service.

I relocated on 30 July 2018 to new residential premises. I notified Mweb of the relocation and scheduled the moving of my line well in advance with the relevant department. I received notification that my line relocation has been scheduled for 30 July 2018 and the line would be active on 31 July 2018.

A week later I still had no active line. I eventually managed to get hold of the technical department and they assigned a different IP address and immediately had an active service. At no point did Mweb pick up that their client did not have an active service...for over a week!

On 8 August 2018, my line stopped working and after many attempts, I finally got feedback that my line was place in the 'Moving Inbox'. After my line was moved and activated already!

On Wednesday, 15 August 2018 I signed up with another SP due to the lack of service from Mweb and requested my line to be released in order for the new provider to active their service. This was after sending in excess of 10 emails, contacting Mweb on their Facebook messenger service and Mweb Online Support Live Chat platform...still with no direct response on my line's status. I finally through Vumatel got the details of Elmar Stoffels, who responded via email that I need to contact Sales. He did send me a copy of the ticket raised on 15 August 2018 requesting that my line be released.

Today for the first time, I got a call around 8:45 from the Retention Department...with nothing different apart from throwing the fact that their might or might not be a contract that will need to be negotiated before releasing the line. I was told I would get a call back 5-10min later...I am still waiting on ANY call at 15:56. Again after making contact on the Facebook Messenger service and being assured both times that the request for a call has been escalated.

At this stage, Mweb should make an effort to review their service reviews. I am certainly done with doing any future business and advise potential consumers to stay away.

Good day

Thank you for taking the time to raise these concerns with us, we appreciate you taking the time to do so.

I have had a look into your account and I see that this has been escalated to the relevant department to attend to.

I have stressed the urgency of this.

Kind regards
MWEB Client Services

This has been the standard response....it has been nearly a week! I have stressed that I have a home business, with interrupted service which has a very serious impact on my business as well as my online studies. One would think that this would at least create some urgency, not that any reason for the need for proper service should make it any different for any client.
