MWEB fibre service

For anyone that is thinking of going with MWEB for fibre. Please reconsider! Although their monthly costs for fibre are reasonable, be careful of their non after service installation.

My mom had fibre installed at her retirement unit and they put the router in the garage. If she needs to reboot the router, she needs to now go outside, into the garage and reboot the router and then go back inside the house. The signal is terrible and most of the times I cannot hear anything when she whattsapp calls me.

When I contacted MWEB and asked them to move the router into the actual retirement unit, they are not taking any responsibility for it, want to charge R1 700 to move the fibre and when I refused, they told me to buy a longer Ethernet cable and literally do it myself because they don't do it.

So what they expect is an 86 year old lady to shuffle into the garage to do whatever needs to be done because their installation team doesn't have two brain cells to slap together. Might as well not have fibre because it is useless. Pathetic to say the least!

MWEB doesn't even reply to any of the complaints on hello Peter. I will definitely be looking at an alternative.
