MWEB Does Not Take Ownership of Vumatel Issues on Behalf of MWEB Customers

Today I received an SMS from Vumatel telling me that they will do scheduled maintenance in our area (Jukskei Park) next week 17-19 March. In the SMS they apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. I work from home and having three days taken out of my calendar with disrupted connectivity is the last thing I need now. Both on Wednesday and Thursday next week I HAVE to attend online sessions the scheduling which I do not control. Vumatel is not saying whether the line will be out for three days, three mintues, or whatever, and I must accept this? When I go to Vumatel's website and click on the contact us tab, they don't have a number on which I can contact them for more information. They give me MWEB's number. When I speak with MWEB, they say I must contact Vumatel! When I say to MWEB that Vumatel must schedule maintenace over weekends to increase customer sensitivity, MWEB tells me Vumatel don't have engineers that work over weekends! MWEB is my ISP, I do not interact with Vumatel. MWEB must take ownership of Vumatel issues that affect their customers. They can't simply say they can't help me. Vumatel's contact page on the web refers me back to MWEB. See above.
