MWEB does not care about you. They want your money for bad service
Opened a Online ticket for high latency and slow speed on my internet line on March 16th 2020. On March 19th I called as I did not receive any feedback. I was told to do some tests and then they will hand it to Openserve as my line is a Openserve line. March 20th I received the 1st feedback on the online query, stating that they reset my port and if the issue persists I must call MWEB support.
I called MWEB support and I explained to them that when I put in a different ISP details on my router, I get the perfect speed and no latency issues, meaning that the issue is not on the line. They scheduled a Openserve tech to come and look at the line anyway.
4 days later a Openserve tech checked my line and all my HW. No issue was found. I contacted MWEB again 2 days later as MWEB is not coming back to me.
From March 29th I've been calling every 2nd day to find out what the status is. They tested again and we found that the issue was on their side after I took a screen recording showing download speeds decrease from 10Mbps to 200kbps as soon as I changed from the other ISP to MWEB.
I was told that someone would contact me on Thursday 30 March.
Friday 1 April I had to call MWEB again as I didn't receive a call. Then they said Tuesday 7 April. Patiently I waited for Tuesday. No calls.
Today 8 April I called MWEB again. I was told that MWEB tried to contact me twice according their records, but I didn't receive any calls. I have proof that there was no call from MWEB.
After calling the Accounts department to cancel my MWEB line I was told that I need to give a calendar month notice. So I must pay again at the end of the month for little to no service. The agent also told me that his records show that I was contacted, so I asked him to give me recordings as proof that my phone actually rang and that there was no answer... He could not and said they don't do recording of outgoing calls. So they can record if I call, but don't record when they call. That's a lie. I was never contacted.
Going to put a stop order on the MWEB bank deduction and move to a different ISP.
