Mweb certainly does not care about long time customers

I've been with Mweb for the past 19 years. I was one of the unlucky customers who signed a contract with IBurst (through MweB). I had to deal with really shoddy service once Mweb dropped IBurst as a provider but I stuck with them.

Once Iburst closed down. I then signed a contract with Mweb using their Vodacom provider as fibre was not available in my area... yet. The service has been fair and generally I've been happy but over the past month I've had to do a lot of work on the internet and found myself running out of data. I phoned Mweb on the 22nd June to load another 3 Gb of data for me. This took 4 HOURS to load!!!!! This is 2017 is it not??? The consultant then told me that if I subscribed to "My Vodacom" app I could do it myself. I joined the app only to be told that this was not possible and that I had to do it through Mweb.

Oh boy another 4 HOURS!!! I then phoned a sales consultant to find out if I could upgrade my account from a 10Gb to a 20Gb package. I was told that I could do this and that instead of paying R319 per month it would cost me R999!!!!!!! What???? I really cannot believe this.

To make matters worse we now have fibre in our area and when contacting Mweb about this I was told that I was locked into my contract and could not upgrade to fibre for two years!!!

Mweb, is this how you "look after" your long standing clients??? I'm currently only three months into my contract period and would prefer to remain with Mweb but it would seem as though I have no options. I was informed by a consultant that I could always buy myself out of my contract. When I asked her what it would cost, she couldn't tell me.
