Mweb breaking the law POPIA ECTA
I just got a call from some guy on behalf of mweb, addressing me on my first name saying he got my number from my dad.
I have registered my details on the DMA NATIONAL OPTOUT database. So he goes around this by sweet talking a 73 year bed ridden stroke survivor for my details.

He then told me that he checked my IS package and he can see that I have a 10meg line. when I asked what right he had to check this, with reference to POPI Act, he hung up.

Mewb, you have violated my rights under the POPIA, ECTA and probably some other acts. I will be reporting you to the regulator responsible for investigating such matters.

In summary :
You have disregarded my instruction that I registered against unsolicited marketing with the DMA optout list
You violated my right to protection of my personal information when you *******ly checked the product/service i have. I did not give you permission to check this.
POPI act , ECTA and CPA, were especially created to protect people from this ************ behavior.

I have the right to & I want both calls that were made. ***. ***
I want the Senior Director who approved this \flyby night"vendor to respond to me: [Email Removed]"""
