MWEB being very clever!!
I signed up for an uncapped internet package with MWEB about a month ago, @ R199,00 per month, MWEB also manage my 4mbps ADSL Telkom line @R240.00 per month. I discovered that I am suddenly being throttled after reaching a 'threshold' of 100 GIGABITES. Since I signed up for UNCAPPED internet, I should not have any threshold whatsoever, nor should I be throttled! I am paying for 'always on, always fast' internet, as MWEB so proudly advertises in the media, and I demand exactly this service! I now sit with a 84kbps which is near non responsive, and I am NOT prepared to pay MWEB for this service, it is false advertising!! Please can you get MWEB to comment on this, I want my 'package' changed to a 'capped' option as I am not receiving an uncapped internet service! MWEB is seemingly very clever with disguising capped packages as uncapped packages.

Uncapped refers to products where predetermined limits may still be relevant, but connectivity is never severed. It does, however, appear to be common practice for service providers to reduce speeds when thresholds are reached.
