MWEB BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I made the bold step to change over to fiber two weeks ago.
Vumatel has the infrastructure in our area, so I went to their webpage and selected the best deal for my needs. Keep in mind that I have been with MWEB for about 10 years on ADSL products.
Voxtel has an Unshaped, Unthrottled, Uncapped (with no installation or activation fees + free router) 20Mb/s product at R756 per month that fits me like a glove. They sent me the quote and I told them to wait as I need to cancel with MWEB.
Phoned MWEB and they convinced me that they can offer me the same package at R10 cheaper. This sounded awesome so I obviously went for it.
The shaping on MWEB is ridiculous. When I called them 2 days later to complain, they questioned the fact that anyone offers unshaped internet. So I referred them to this: https://shop.vumatel.co.za/package/41L4QJPhKS
Mweb (Dean de Beyer) then questioned if their sales agent said that he would beat the package or only the price?????????? I lost it, shouted a bit and dropped the call.
Thinking back, I should've asked if it was Whackhead. In fact, the only reason I know it wasn't Whackhead is the fact that Whackhead usually calls back...
After various phone calls and e-mails I am convinced that MWEB only cares about their profit.
Customer satisfaction is way lower on priorities than their Acceptable Usage Policy.

28 Nov 2018, 14:58Ok, after various calls from and to various people, I have found two people working there that makes MWEB proud: Jeandre (i think from billing) and Keith from the legal department. My issues have been sorted out and because someone had the knowledge to employ them, I change my review to 5 stars. Thank you MWEB...or maybe Jeandre and Keith...

Ok, after various calls from and to various people, I have found two people working there that makes MWEB proud: Jeandre (i think from billing) and Keith from the legal department.
