Mweb and their FALSE ADVERTISING to rip people off

Mweb are ****mers and I’ll tell you why I say so.

Mweb advertised their VPN on their website as FREE. And then only once you subscribe to it do you get the shock of your life to discover that it’s actually not FREE but they’re giving you the first month free.

And then you try to cancel it on that very same portal and guess what? It tells you that you can’t cancel. So your only option is to call.

I called Mweb on 22nd Jan and spoke to a guy named Kabelo. I expressed to Kabelo that I’d like to cancel the VPN for the same reasons I opened this complaint with. Basically FALSE ADVERTISING!!! After speaking to Kabelo and explaining the specifics around it, he told me that since I’m canceling within the cooling off period, there won’t be any charges that go off. I asked him if he’s sure and he assured me (you better go listen to that call recording because I’m definitely going to request that you send it to me). This morning, to my surprise, I wake up to a whole R2605.43 debited from my account by who? Mweb!! I’m going to take this further I promise you guys. Return the money you ********ly took from me! You’re advertising your products as what they’re not, trapping unsuspecting victims such as myself and then charging them a chunk of money to cancel even when they were reassured by your stuff that they won’t be charged. You’re a money making scheme! Give me my money back.
