Long awaited fibre

I ordered fibre through MWEB and the initial experience was very impressive. I received an SMS to confirm my order, a technician contacted me within a day to schedule an appointment for the following business day. The Openserve installers arrived on time, after calling me first and though they experienced some challenges with allocating a line to me, they pulled in the right people to get the job done that same day. The technicians pulled the cables, spliced the fibre, mounted the unit and got the line activated and live. So far so good... I then contact MWEB to find out when my router will be delivered and was told that it usually takes about 10 days to be couriered!! When I asked if I can come and collect it sooner, they said no. From my perspective, all the hard work took 2 days, but the easy bit will take 10 days? Surely MWEB can streamline their process so that the router arrival coincides with the installation or at least within the same week?!

The courier called me on Wednesday to say he was outside my house to deliver my router. Thankfully it was safe for him to leave it in my postbox so everything worked out ok in the ed. To my surprise, the router actually took 4 days and not 10 as I was told it would. Also, I received a call from an MWEB representative to take my feedback on board in the hope of streamlining their process.
